Colder, darker nights and arguments over whether the heating should go on (we’re pro, btw) can only mean one thing: it’s time to say goodbye to those thin summer PJs and roll out those warm snuggly ones. Which is usually when you find out that all of last year’s are too small - #parentingproblems. Luckily, we’ve got some great nightwear brands here at KIDLY. Here’s our pick of them. Dreamy.
1. FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY: KIDLY Label
Our classic two-piece Organic Pyjamas come in sizes 6 months to 5 years, so the whole gang can wear them. Made from 100% GOTS certified cotton, they’re skin-kind and soft, in a closer-fit, unisex style with an elasticated waist. In three bespoke prints, two yarn-dyed stripes and four colourblock sets, they all mix and match together, for hand-me down handiness.
2. FOR BOLD GRAPHICS: The Bright Company
The Bright Company aims to, er, brighten up bedtimes with its range of graphic prints. They also make their PJs slim fitting for a comfier night’s sleep... anyone else see a mini trend going on? We love their sleepsuits because it means that little ones can get in on the cool sleepwear action, while their older siblings rock the PJ sets.
3. FOR CREATIVES: Selfie Craft Co
Ever-popular crafting brand Selfie makes PJs that can be coloured in by your kids. There's everything from dinosaur, unicorns, mermaids and jungle animal versions. To avert creative tantrums, they come with a test sheet, so they can practice before they commit to the final design. The colouring-in will keep your kids busy on chillout days and they’ll be so proud showing off their own creations, they won’t want to take them off. Crafting and clothing - it’s a double whammy!
4. FOR THE FINISHING TOUCH: Liewood
We love how this Scandi brand has extended its offerings into the nightwear market, making warm, thick robes that can be worn over Pjs, or used as a bath towel. Made from 100% cotton terry towelling, with big deep pockets for them to bury their hands in, plus a cosy hood, the Lily Bathrobe has a classic tie-front with the extra practicality of poppers to keep it on. Sounds perfect.
So there you have it, our round-up of our fave winter nightwear. Add their best cuddle pal and they’ll (maybe) sleep all night.
